update on last entry

I got this email today...thx for all your prayers.

Hi,
I just got off of the phone with my sister and Alica is now in labor! Praise and all thanksgiving to God! The neonatology specialist was in today and told her that everything was great with the baby and that she can feel free to deliver him safely any time now and that he will be fine! So they stopped giving her medication to stop her labor and now she is 4 cm dilated! Alica still has a stone in one kidney but they think that she has passed one also. She continues to have a serious kidney infection but both of her kidneys are now functioning and her labs are improved! She is still a sick woman but after the baby is born they will be able to treat her much more vigorously (not that they have neglected her in any way....they have been right on top of everything since she was transferred). She was a sick cookie but I know that she will be fine! And I also know that the baby will be fine also! Thank God for the gift of faith and the Holy Spirit! And thank God for the gift of Prayer Worriers too; it's such a beautiful gift to share in another's burden!
Love and peace to you and yours,
Barbara

update from the jan 31st entry

I got this email today

Hi,
I just received a call from my sister that her daughter, Alica's, condition has deteriorated and it is now an emergency situation. She is being transferred to Charleston as I am typing this update. Please continue to keep her soaked in your personal as well as communal prayer.
I continue to praise and thank God for the gift that you so freely share.
Peace, love and joy in Jesus thru Mary,
Barbara
